École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS Montréal)
At the culmination of a narrative journey celebrating the 50th anniversary of the École de Technologie Supérieure, Neek developed and designed a generative installation that propels the community toward the future. This two-part artwork, created in close collaboration with ETS teams, offers both a personal and collective experience.
A photobooth invites each visitor to discover their "engineer profile" through a series of targeted questions. The installation then captures their portrait and generates a unique graphic composition reflecting their profile. This personalized creation can be instantly saved on their phone, while—if they agree—their portrait becomes part of a continuously evolving collective artwork.
An interactive mosaic transforms these individual contributions into a dynamic living gallery, organized by engineer profiles. This ever-changing display allows participants to see themselves as part of a group with shared affinities while reacting to visitors' movements. By blending past and future, this installation bridges the institution’s legacy with the faces that will shape its future.
